Bambara Patties

Bambara Recipe

 

1 cup cooked bambara beans
1 cup Bambara pulp (left over from making milk)
1/4 cup rolled oats
1.5 tsps sea salt
0 .5 tsps each of turmeric, mixed herbs, white pepper, black pepper and paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic and ginger mix
2 tbsps olive oil
2 tbsps tomato ketchup
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsps flaxseed
2 tbsps chia seeds
6 slices nori (seaweed) cut into small pieces (optional)
3 tbsps water

 

 

 

 

 

Bambara Patties

 

Mash beans (I didn’t bother with the food processor but you can if you choose), add all the other ingredients and bring together. I like to use my hand to ensure it’s thoroughly mixed (maybe I just like the feel through my fingers). Divide into 6 equal portions and form into rectangular or round shapes. Enjoy grilled, or shallow fried. I grilled mine.
